Euro Super-Heroes?

Are there any Euro super-heroes?
Maybe there are, and I just have never heard of them. Have you?
We were discussing it at breakfast. Okay, we should have been deciding the menu for the week, but menu vs. super heroes, which do you think won?
We could only think of American super-heroes. No Captain Spain, or Belgian Iron Man. They may be out there fighting crime and injustice and just haven't made a splash across the pond. Odd. And the Avenger movies are apparently quite popular in Europe, but I can't recall a single Euro super-hero.
There is Godzilla, but he's Japanese. And not quite in the realm of hero, unless you count that Mothra encounter. Hmm.
